I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Leanne Banks is an excellent story teller and writer. When I finished reading this book, I can only say buy it and read it. When you pass a veteran say "thank you". I already do this. Many times have I walked up to a vet and shook his/her hand and said "God Bless'. We then would have a conversation regarding the service he/she served in. Have spoken with servicemen from WWII all the way to the present. Those veterans returning home have a rough time.

A Maverick for the Holidays Leanne Banks Books Reviews

As a whole the story did flaw smoothly but it is the heroine's 'I know he was the one at first glance' that kept screeching like a nail on a chalkboard for me especially since it's her only argument in excusing the hero's reluctance/distant/rebuff to her very obvious advance towards the hero's space. It's too close to a beginning of being a doormat for my taste.
The hero, on the other hand, is a recovering soldier/warrior from a serious injury and a better character for me to get into. He is an 'I can do it myself' man and I like that he is also shown some flaws.
I liked the community part of the story though, the shelter for troubled teen, the interaction between the community people as they came together for a cause, I love seeing the hero work with other vets as they try to make sense life after serving. I think the author did great painting what a community is the good part and the not so good a part. Especially the highlights on the lives of soldiers who are overseas at Christmas time and how their families estate-side is coping.
Overall, the story is about a very perky 23 yo's effort to chase after a more mature man. In which the man is reluctant to get involve because of his own demons from war.

Love stories make the world go round. I love Montana AND CAN PICTURE THE STORY AS I READ IT.AND ALMOST DREAM IT.
If you read Montana Mavericks you will not be disappoint love the series I look forward to reading Leanne next book
I enjoyed reading this book very much. I would recommend this book to others to read. Love to read books by this author.
Have enjoyed all books dealing with the Traub family and will be reading more in the future!
It is one of a series enjoyed it very much the seller was great will order from them again am looking forward to the next book in the series
