I went in search of this book as I had it as a child and loved it. My 5 1/2 year old son loves the Berenstain Bears now as much as I did and has over 50 of the regular books so I wanted to add this one to his collection as I have lost the one I had as a child.

This is not the original. Some words have been changed to exclude Santa and in place mention the nativity scene. I believe in Christ and the true reason for the season, I just did not appreciate this classic being changed. I included pictures. The top book is the original whereas the bottom is the new bought from amazon. I got an older original copy from another website.

Another thing is the final page was changed. In the new book the bears sitting down to dinner is not included.

I think this is a great book and if you are not familiar with the original version than you wouldn’t know any different. If you are familiar with the original and you want that version than shop around for a used copy. There were many out there in good condition when I looked.

Purchase this book for last Christmas for grandson. It's a hard book with a great read inside. My grandson liked this book.

Classic Berenstain Bears book!
I love reading Christmas stories on my , and my daughter wanted to read one of her own. I purchased this book for her, as I love the Berenstain Bears' series. These books have great messages and are easy to read for kids. She found this book to be very entertaining and even read it twice! Cute book!
One of my favorite childhood books growing up. Now my daughter is falling into the story and the message still applies today!
